I Missed "Free Emergency Contraception Day"

I guess yesterday was Free EC Day here in Indiana... here is some of the story from WSBT TV.
The controversial morning after pill will be given away for free at nine different locations around Indiana Tuesday. Planned Parenthood of Mishawaka is one of those locations. Emergency Contraception is one topic that causes a lot of disagreement.

Planned Parenthood says the morning after pill can prevent a pregnancy if it’s taken up to 120 hours after having unprotected sex. But those opposed to Emergency Contraception say that’s the same thing as an abortion. The pill became available over-the-counter last August to women across the United States.

But representatives say recent controversy and misinformation is causing nine of the 35 Planned Parenthood locations in Indiana to declare Tuesday “Free EC Day.”

It sounds like a great idea, so women can have it for when such an emergency arises that calls for EC. I wish there was more publicity for this event though...
